The Casa de Mateus Foundation celebrates with a seminar and a concert the influence of the Italian architect Nicolao Nasoni, associated with the construction of the Casa de Mateus, and also responsible for the complex of the Clérigos of Porto, among other important works in the North of Portugal.

The seminar Nasoni, Mateus and the Music of his time intends to be a moment of exchange and reflection at the intersection of the disciplinary areas of Music, Architecture, History of Music and History of Art, focusing particularly on the issue of Music and the Baroque space around figure of Nicholas Nasoni and the legacy of Mateus. As a result of the reflections, a book will be edited with the support of the University of Minho, the Casa de Mateus Foundation and the Foundation for Science and Technology – FCT.
