Marcio Soares Holanda is a Brazilian tenor who has been living in France since 2000, where just after his arrival started working with Les Arts Florissants, A Sei Voce, Le Concert Spirituel and Le Concert D’Astrée among other renowned groups in a vast repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to Classicism, from the sacred to the profane, singing roles such as Acis da Abre Acis and Galatea de Haendel and also Lully, Bastien de Bastien and Bastienne de Mozart, Don Carlos and Tacmas of the opera Les Indes Galantes de Rameau, the tenor solos of the Messiah of Haendel, the evangelist and the arias of the second passions St. John and St. Matheus de Bach as well as numerous works by composers such as Purcell, Monteverdi, Charpentier, Campra, Mondonville, Couperin among others. Marcio Soares Holanda is currently under the guidance of tenor Guy Flechter and often collaborates with the group Les Arts Florissants directed by the celebrated William Christie in the most prestigious international festivals.
